accent pillow case baby canvas boudoir “；Sweet”； Stamped Watercolor Background with Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Mist personalised birthday gifts
Hey everyone， Suzanne Austin here today to share a very simple layout that features a stencil stamped watercolor background using Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Watercolor Mist. These sprays are amazing!pillow covers farmhouse
Recently I came across a photo of my youngest daughter. It happens to be a favorite of mine， and I’ve always known that I wanted to document it one day. I also knew that I wanted to keep the layout as simple as possible (which is hard for me at times!) so that focus always goes back to the photo! I will show you how I created the watercolor background and how you can create a beautiful yet simple layout using minimal supplies!
Susanne used the following：Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Mist –； Pink Canvas Corp Stretched Canvas Canvas Corp Tissue Stock Canvas Corp Black and Ivory Dot Paper Tattered Angels Pure Mistable Papers –； Crepe watercolor paper，？Floral Stencilaccent pillow case baby canvas boudoir，？Paintbrush sticker letters and embellishments sewing machine for stitching
To begin， I grab a floral design stencil and Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Mist in “Pink.” This stencil has lots of negative space which makes for a really great “stamping” tool. On a nonporous surface (I used a regular piece of freezer paper)， give the stencil a light spritz of water； this allows the watercolor to move a little more fluidly and it also helps in softening the color. Next， spritz the stencil with Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Mist. I use the mist liberally because I know that I will place the stencil back into the mixture several times to achieve the “stamped” watercolor backdrop for my photo.
On a piece of watercolor paper， I simply flip the stencil over and gently apply pressure. This is the first lift.I put the stencil back into the watercolor and randomly apply color and pattern until I’m satisfied.
Because I wanted to really emphasize the watercolor effect， I used a paintbrush to move some of the color around on the page while it was still wet. It doesn’t look like much now， but in the end， it adds a really pretty and subtle background for this page.
With the background finished， I knew I wanted to keep my embellishments simple as to not take focus away from the photo or the delicate watercolor pattern. Using just a strip of Tattered Angels Purely Mistable Crepe Paper， I created a paper ribbon by simply folding the strip in an accordion fold.By adhering the strip to a scrap piece of paper， I was able to keep the folds and stitch the ribbon in place. The Crepe paper is simply gorgeous all on it’；s own! This embellishment is simple yet adds so much interest and texture to this layout!I also created some flag banners with Canvas Corp Stretched Canvas Fabric-another super simple and textural accent.
With that-all that’；s left to do is to finish assembling the page. The soft watercolor background really brings the layout together! It really adds the right amount of visual interest without overpowering the page.
This layout came together without much of an effort at all!I wanted the cutie in the picture to remain the main focus on this page， and I was able to do so with Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Mist and minimal， easy to create embellishments courtesy of Canvas Corp!
I hope you’；ve enjoyed this process and I hope you give these simple techniques a try.

When winter comes and temperatures begin to drop, some people start reaching for thick flannel sheets to ward off the cold. However, despite the cooler weather, many people prefer to skip the warm bedding during the winter, choosing hot sleeper sheets specifically designed for hot sleepers and individuals with night sweats instead.
